Getting started
Your first lesson, one step at a time.
Start with one small task. You can write and run Python without an account or installation. Create a free account when you want AI hints and saved progress.
1. Read the task
Start with Hello, World! The task tells you what your program should do.
2. Change and run
Choose Write code. Change the starter code, press Run, and look at the output below the editor.
3. Check and improve
Press Run tests. Read the feedback, change one thing, and try again.
You do not need to learn every menu.
Try one lesson first. When you return, sign in and open Dashboard for your next session. Notes, learning memory, and interview practice can wait until you need them.

When something feels unclear
How does the AI tutor watch me code?
Pro live coaching uses selected changes in the lesson editor to offer help while you work. You can pause observation from the coach controls. It does not watch your camera or other apps. On Free, open Ask coach and send a question to use your monthly AI allowance. Teaching preferences and Learning memory let you manage how the tutor helps you.
Where should I start if I have never coded?
Open Hello, World! Read the task, choose Write code, and change the starter code. Press Run to see the output, then Run tests to check your answer. You do not need to explore every menu before starting.
Can I try the lesson without an account?
Yes. Public lessons, the code editor, Run and Run tests work without an account. AI hints and recorded progress need a free account. Free includes a monthly AI allowance; Pro is optional.
My sign-in code hasn't arrived. What should I do?
Check the email address, then your spam folder. Wait for the resend button and request a new code. Use only the latest 6-digit code within 10 minutes. If delivery keeps failing, email support.
Why does Python take time to load?
The first lesson downloads Python into your browser. Keep the tab open while it loads; later runs are faster. If loading fails, check your connection and use Retry Python. Your code draft stays in the tab.
What is the difference between Run and Run tests?
Run executes your code and shows its output. Run tests checks whether it meets the task's requirements. A program can run successfully while still needing changes to pass the tests.
Where is the code editor on a smaller laptop?
Use Task instructions, Write code, and Ask coach above the lesson. Write code opens the editor and output. Task instructions brings back the task. Ask coach opens AI help, which requires a free account. Switching views keeps your code.
Is my work saved?
Signed-in lessons show Code saved to account after saving. If saving is unavailable, keep the tab open and wait for recovery. Guest drafts stay in the same browser; create an account to save progress. Personal topic notes have a Save note button.
Do I need Pro to learn?
You can read lessons and run Python for free. A free account saves progress and includes a monthly AI allowance. Pro adds automatic coaching while you type. Pricing shows the current plans and payment terms.
How do I ask a useful tutor question?
Say what you expected and what happened. For example: I expected 8, but my program prints 7. What should I check? The lesson tutor includes your current code and test results when you ask. Start with I'm stuck for a small hint.
What if I accidentally reset my code?
Press Undo reset in the editor to bring back the code from before the reset. The recovery is available in the current lesson tab, so use it before leaving the lesson.
The tests passed. What should I do next?
You can choose the suggested next lesson or stay and practise the idea again. When signed in, check that your progress is saved. Passing guest tests is a useful first try; create an account for recorded progress and follow the save guidance in the lesson.
Where do I continue when I come back?
Sign in and open Dashboard. It shows your next session and saved progress. Start there if choosing a topic feels difficult. Learn lets you change goals and browse the path; the other tools are optional.
Still stuck? Email support with the page and what happened. Never send your sign-in code. You can also read our beginner guides.
